Advancing Community Mobility Solutions in South Lake Tahoe

The South Shore Transportation Management Association is a not for profit corporation that serves as a community forum for the advance of transportation, transit, and community mobility solutions throughout the South Shore of the Lake Tahoe region and connecting transportation systems to the east in Douglas County and Carson City, the west in El Dorado County, and to the north into the North Tahoe-Truckee “Resort Triangle.”

Current Activities & Priorities

What We Do

SS-TMA advocates for and promotes transportation system and demand management strategies on the South Shore of Lake Tahoe.

Reducing vehicle miles traveled (VMT) and traffic congestion

Reducing air and water pollution

Generating joint public/private sector approaches to solving transportation problems in and to/from the South Shore

Creating a central forum for ridesharing, public transportation and other transportation-related subjects.
