Title VI Program
As a recipient and sub-recipient of federal financial assistance, Downtowner is responsible for the effective execution of nondiscrimination laws and regulations.
Title VI of the 1964 Civil Rights Act requires that “No person in the United States shall, on the ground of race, color or national origin, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving federal financial assistance.”

Downtowner is committed to complying with the requirements of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Any person who believes they have been discriminated against based on race, color, or national origin may file this complaint form.

Americans with Disabilities Act / Section 504 Policy Statement
Downtowner prohibits discrimination on the basis of a disability with respect to all terms and conditions of employment and access to its activities, programs, and services. Any interference, coercion, restraint, retaliation, or reprisal against any person alleging disability discrimination is prohibited.
For the purposes of this policy, an individual with a disability is defined as any person who:
1. Has a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities;
2. Has a record of such an impairment; or
3. Is regarded as having such impairment.
Downtowner is committed to:
• Providing reasonable accommodation for an individual with a disability to participate in employment, activities, programs, and services and has established procedures to allow persons with a disability to request reasonable accommodation;
• Providing access to persons using its facilities, buildings, and services; and

Reasonable Modification Policy & How to Request
Downtowner is committed to providing accessible service to all riders. In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (49 CFR 37.169), Downtowner will make reasonable modifications to its policies and practices when necessary for an individual with a disability to use the service.
How to request a modification: Contact Downtowner in advance whenever possible at 877-283-9021 or TitleVI@ridedowntowner.com, or write to Ria Shrivastava, ADA & Title VI Coordinator, Downtowner, 515 N Flagler Dr, Suite 350, West Palm Beach, FL 33401. Tell us what you need in order to use the service — you do not need to use any special wording. Requests made at the time of service will also be considered when feasible.
Review: Each request is reviewed individually. Downtowner will grant requests that are necessary to access the service unless doing so would fundamentally alter the service, create a direct threat to the health or safety of others, impose an undue burden, or is not necessary for access. If a request cannot be granted, Downtowner will try to find another way to provide the service.

ADA Complaint Form
In compliance with the U.S. Department of Transportation Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990 (49 CFR Parts 27, 37, 38 and 39), and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended, Downtowner ensures its services, vehicles, and facilities are accessible to and usable by individuals with disabilities. Anyone who believes he or she has been discriminated against on the basis of disability may file an ADA complaint.
You may file a complaint if you feel that you have been discriminated against due to your disability or are not satisfied with the service you received related to accommodating your disability.

All covered employees are required to submit to drug and alcohol tests as a condition of employment in accordance with 49 CFR Part 655.
Additionally, all Downtowner employees are subject to the provisions of the Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988.
